Dishwasher Safe: Yes.
Microwave Oven: DO NOT use in a microwave oven.
Cleaning: Do not use cleansers or scrubbing pads that may scratch the stainless steel.
Rust Prevention: To prevent the stainless steel from rusting, remove dirt and moisture as soon as possible, dry thoroughly, and store away from contact with other metals.
Usage: Always use with a KAKOMI series pot (enamel or ceramic) filled with water or hot water.
Be careful not to boil dry (empty heating).
The plate will become hot during and after use; handle with caution using pot holders.
Note on Ceramic Pots: If the legs of the steam plate are rubbed hard against the bottom of a clay pot, grey pencil-like metal marks (called "metal marks") may appear. These can usually be cleaned using a melamine sponge.
